Fudge Scotch Bars
Fudge Scotch Bars
I suggest that these bars are cut into small squares, around 1 1/2" squares
These bar cookies are great for freezing. I often double the recipe. Cut the cookies into thirds, or quarters and wrap carefully and freeze.
I allow them to defrost and at that time cut them into 1 1/2" squares.
A tray of bar cookies look more like mini pastries and make a very tempting tray.
1 ½ Cups graham cracker crumbs
1 (14oz) can of Condensed milk (NOT EVAPORATED)
1 - 6 oz (1 cup) semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 – 6 oz (1 cup) butterscotch morsels
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
Pre-heat oven 350 F. /time 30 to 35 min
makes 3 doz
In small bowl, combine graham crackers, condensed milk, smei sweet bits butterscotch bits, walnuts mix well. Grease a 9” pan (square)
Bake 350 for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown
Double recipe can fit on a jelly roll pan or will make very thick cookies in a 9×13
Allow additional time if you bake the 9×13. I prefer the jelly roll pan if I need to double the recipe.
