Rice Pilaf

Tbsp butter                1 minced clove of garlic

minced onion            1 Cup of rice

2 ½  cup chicken broth    2 Tbsp minced parsley

½ tsp salt                          ¼ cup raisins (optional)

¼ tsp pepper                    ¼ cup toasted sliced

                                                  Almonds

 

Sauté the onion, garlic and rice in the butter until golden. Add remaining ingredients except nuts. Pour into a 2 quart baking dish and cover.

It is possible to prepare the dish and wait until dinner time to complete cooking the dish.

 

Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. When ready to serve, fluff rice with a fork and sprinkle with nuts.
