Salsa Puttanesca (Harlots' Sauce)

 

2 T Olive oil               2 cloves of garlic

1 cup sliced celery     1 chopped red pepper

In a sauce pot, saute for 10 minutes

 

4 Cups Plum Tomatoes

Add and simmer for 10 minutes

 

4 anchovies                  8 green olives, sliced

8 black olives, sliced  1 T of capers

1 t of basil                     ¼ t cayenne

Add these ingredients and allow everything to simmer

Serve over pasta cooked al dente
